Surprise! Aladdin is making a special appearance for our summer Session 1 (we will visit Madagascar at yet another time). Disney’s Aladdin JR. is based on the 1992 Academy Award®-winning film and the 2014 hit Broadway show about the “diamond in the rough” street rat who learns that his true worth lies deep within. Aladdin is down on his luck until he discovers a magic lamp and the Genie who has the power to grant three wishes. Wanting to earn the respect of the princess, Jasmine, Aladdin embarks on an adventure that will test his will and his moral character. Such fun songs, great choreography,... We will explore the casting process through auditions and callbacks, moving into blocking, learning music and choreography for the show, culminating in professionally produced performances. We will have 2 camp groups running simultaneously, ages 7-ll (beginner/intermediate) and ages 11 - 18 (intermediate/
advanced). Placement for 11 year-olds will be determined by the first day of camp. Theatre games, Yoga, Arts and crafts, and outdoor play will also be included. No camp on July 4.
